Description
Robert Half has partnered with a lender on their search for an Accounting and Payroll Specialist with proven full-cycle payroll experience. In this role, you will prepare and process accounts payable transactions, calculate payroll deductions, generate year-end accruals, prepare bi-monthly payroll, generate tax filing documents, assist with the annual audit process, draft workers compensation reports, resolve account discrepancies, and assist the controller when needed. In this Accounting & Payroll Assistant role, you will keep aligned with compliance by following general accounting policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
· Enter and process accounts payable/receivable
· Process payroll
· Maintain internal file/record keeping system
· Spreadsheet Maintenance
· Prepare financial statements
· Process tax documents
· Perform financial research as needed
· Account Reconciliation
· Assist with the month end close process
· Prepare monthly journal entries
Requirements
The ideal Accounting and Payroll Specialist will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.
Other requirements for the Accounting and Payroll Specialist role include and are not limited to:
· 5+ years of full-cycle payroll experience
· Multi-state payroll experience required
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
· ADP a huge plus
