Job Title: Cloud Engineer III
Location: Reston, VA
Service Type: Temporary, Remote
Position Overview: We are seeking a FEDRAMP-experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will install and maintain cloud-based applications, systems, or associated infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and define business requirements to determine specifications and standards.
Propose and develop cloud-based solutions.
Deploy, implement, and integrate web-based applications, ensuring compliance with information security standards.
Maintain reports, logs, and other records of security audits.
Monitor system uptime and performance, troubleshooting and resolving errors.
Stay informed of emerging cloud technologies and evaluate their potential value to the organization.
Collaborate with multiple teams to suggest, design, and implement high availability solutions in AWS GovCloud.
Ensure compliance with Federal, State, PCI, SOC, and FedRAMP regulations.
Requirements
Experience and Education:
Minimum 5 years of overall systems administration experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience with cloud computing technologies.
Experience with Git, Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
Performs work under direct supervision, handling basic issues and problems, and referring more complex issues to higher-level staff.
Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
Skills:
Proven experience in automating complex tasks.
Strong understanding of high availability solutions.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification.
