Description We are looking for a skilled Financial Project Manager to join our team in Reston, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up projects and employees in Costpoint 8.2, maintaining project budgets, and tracking project finance. This position offers a short-term contract opportunity in the telecom industry.
Responsibilities:
• Setting up employees and projects in Costpoint 8.2
• Accurately maintaining project accounting and billing
• Overseeing project budgets and financial tracking
• Ensuring the clean-up of the system to maintain efficiency
• Addressing and resolving any issues related to project finance
• Utilizing skills in Deltek Costpoint and Project Tracking to drive project success
• Collaborating with various teams to ensure project timelines and budgets are met
• Implementing financial strategies to optimize project outcomes
• Monitoring project progress and making necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion
• Providing regular updates to stakeholders on project financial status. Requirements • The applicant must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar financial project management role.
• The candidate should possess knowledge of and experience with Costpoint - Deltek and Deltek Costpoint.
• Skills in project accounting are necessary for this role.
• Experience with project billing is a fundamental requirement for this position.
• The candidate should have a proven track record of creating and managing project budgets.
• Experience in project finance is essential.
• The applicant must have experience in project tracking.
