We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Entry Level Desktop/Tech Support located in Richardson, TX, United States. This role is essential in maintaining and improving our computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of imaging, installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all organizational hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to end users and troubleshoot problem areas in person, by telephone or via incident tickets in a timely and accurate fashion.

• Configure and image laptops and desktops using SCCM imaging and thumb drives.

• Repair and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and company-owned mobile devices.

• Maintain organizational computer systems, desktops, and peripherals, including imaging, installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all organizational hardware and equipment.

• Manage customer service interactions with professionalism and courtesy.

• Troubleshoot Wi-Fi and VPN connection issues.

• Utilize programs such as Service Now, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 proficiently.

• Ensure optimal workstation performance.

• Utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide end-user assistance where required.

• Demonstrate good problem-solving and critical thinking skills in all tasks.

Requirements • Exceptional customer service skills

• Proven experience in technical support

• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite

• Understanding of budget and hiring processes

• Ability to troubleshoot common hardware and software issues

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals

• Familiarity with Active Directory

• Experience in deskside support

• Excellent time management skills

• Understanding of operating systems

• Knowledge of computer systems

• Computer Science background or equivalent experience

• Proficiency in desktop and laptop hardware

• Familiarity with computer hardware and peripheral equipment

• Experience with printer hardware

• Excellent written communication skills

• Knowledge of VPN technologies

• Experience with mobile devices

• Ability to think critically and solve problems

• Comptia A+ certification is a plus
