Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the healthcare industry, specifically located in Richardson, Texas, 75080-4457, United States. The Sr. Accountant will play a key role in preparing and analyzing financial reports, assisting with the financial planning and annual budgeting, ensuring adherence to internal controls, reconciling balance sheets, and preparing bank account reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze fiscal reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Assist with the preparation of the annual budget for assigned departments and programs
• Adhere strictly to internal controls to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Prepare Grant Reports for Mental Health Federal, State, and Local Grants and contracts
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and resolve any discrepancies
• Assist in preparing monthly Cash Flow Forecasts and Cash Flow Projections
• Prepare assigned monthly bank account reconciliations and related journal entries
• Maintain cash management records, including funds drawn and received, funds disbursed by sources, and deposits of funds
• Assist with site & desk audits and submit all responses for review before submission
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint for various tasks
• Handle special projects as assigned and maintain, distribute accounting documents, records, and reports
• Protect values by keeping information confidential and perform other duties as required to support the Finance Department. Requirements • Applicants must have a deep understanding of Account Reconciliation practices.
• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is a key requirement.
• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is essential.
• Extensive experience with General Ledger management is necessary.
• Proficiency in creating and managing Journal Entries is required.
• Must possess advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures is mandatory.
• Knowledge of NetSuite software is a plus.
• Experience with Oracle software is desirable.
• Familiarity with SAP software is beneficial.
