This position is for candidates who can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection
Inspect deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations
Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners
Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required
Respond on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
Work closely with executive team and partners to facilitate efficient and effective firm-wide operation
CPG/Retail/Manufacturing experience, must have knowledge of cost accounting
CPA/public accounting nice to have but not required
Leadership experience – this role manages 3 people
