Robert Half is partnering with a large manufacturer for their Sr. Plant Accountant opening. The Sr. Plant Accountant is a critical member of the finance team and will focus on month-end closing processes, variance analysis, and cost management. This role will involve collaboration with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and ensuring all financial data is accurate and submitted on time.

· Analyze Purchase Price Variances (PPV) and provide insights to management to drive cost efficiency.

· Conduct thorough variance analysis for material, labor, and overhead to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.

· Participate in the annual standard costing process, ensuring accurate cost estimates for products and materials.

· Prepare and post journal entries related to plant accounting.

· Calculate and monitor overhead and labor rates to ensure accurate allocation to products.

· Perform account reconciliations to maintain accuracy in financial statements.

Requirements

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.

· Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.

· Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and financial analysis.

· Advanced Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems
