We're presenting an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Accountant role located in Richmond, Kentucky, USA. This position is pivotal to our client's financial operations, entailing accurate recording of manufacturing and overhead costs, providing financial backing for capital development projects, and aiding local management in spotting and executing cost-saving prospects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Extend financial backing for capital development projects from approval to implementation.

  • Ensure precise recording of manufacturing and overhead costs.

  • Analyze variances, monthly operating outcomes, and key measures to ensure accurate reporting.

  • Generate regular reports on manufacturing outcomes and performance.

  • Collaborate with local management to spot and action cost-saving initiatives.

  • Participate in the monthly closing process, including recording recurring expenses like depreciation, taxes, and insurance.

  • Uphold standard costs, routers, and burden rates in coordination with the Division.

  • Support internal and external audits.

  • Ensure robust internal controls are in place at the plant level and assist in addressing areas of concern.

  • Assist local management in crafting monthly forecasts and annual plans.

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.

  • Manage the Fixed Asset System for the location.

  • Estimate costs for current and prospective products.

  • Monitor product margins, cost reductions, and new product programs.

  • Review inventory variances and transactions and manage the inventory control cycle count program.

  • Conduct departmental audits to ensure adherence to processes and policies.

  • Act as a backup for minor IT-related issues.

    Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with CapEx (Capital Expenditure) management

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Familiarity with various ERP Solutions

• Proficiency in all Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge of Budget Processes

• Proficiency in Cost Accounting

• Experience with Cost Analysis

• Familiarity with Capital Assets management

• Proficiency in using ERP software

• Minimum 5 years of experience
