Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the accounting industry, located in Richmond, Virginia. We're seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team, where you will be handling account reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, as well as billing and collections.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner

• Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure accuracy

• Resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts and billing

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

• Perform account reconciliation to ensure all financial data is correct

• Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure all financial transactions are recorded

• Handle billing tasks, ensuring all invoices are sent out and paid on time

• Conduct collections activities for overdue accounts

• Utilize MS Excel and Viewpoint for data entry and invoice processing

• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work. Requirements • Possession of skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Data Entry, and Invoice Processing.

• Proven work experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role.

• Familiarity with financial regulations.

• Knowledge of MS Excel (particularly advanced formulas and pivot tables).

• Hands-on experience with accounting software e.g., QuickBooks.

• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field.

• Strong mathematical skills.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Good with deadlines and ability to work under pressure.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.

• Strong problem-solving capability.
