Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Richmond, Virginia
Description We are offering a role in the telecom industry located in Richmond, Virginia, 23220, United States. The job function focuses on Accounts Receivable Clerk. This job requires expertise in various skills like Account Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Cash Applications, Cash Collections, Commercial Collections, Microsoft Excel, and SAP. This role will involve a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Convert, prepare, review, and deliver invoices to customers promptly
• Generate customer statements and accounting reports
• Conduct research on cash receipts, coding, and posting of receipts
• Establish Accounts Receivable monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics
• Track and manage Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
• Collect outstanding or past due invoices
• Assist in projecting cash receipts
• Document and monitor internal controls in support of the accounting team
• Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting/finance team or other departments. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required
• Must possess strong skills in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in Billing is necessary
• Knowledge of Cash Applications is expected
• Competency in Cash Collections is required
• Familiarity with Commercial Collections is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Experience with SAP is beneficial
