Description We are seeking a Controller to join our team in the machinery manufacturing industry, based in Richmond, Virginia. This role involves overseeing various staff, managing banking relationships, and working closely with senior management.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage staff including those in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, HR, and Cost Analysis.
• Establish and maintain banking relationships to facilitate business operations.
• Prepare financial statements and ensure the end of month and end of year closings are conducted accurately and timely.
• Coordinate inter-company activities across multiple entities.
• Work closely with senior management and C-suite personnel to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Implement and manage accounting software systems and ERP solutions.
• Ensure adherence to accounting functions and auditing standards.
• Manage the overall budget processes.
• Ensure compliance with DCAA regulations.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable effectively and efficiently. Requirements • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the machinery manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ERP Solutions
• Familiarity and experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Knowledge of DCAA regulations and standards
• Expertise in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Strong understanding of accounting functions
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proven skills in auditing and budget processes
• Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA would be advantageous.
