Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in Richmond, Virginia
Description We are on the search for a Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in the Real Estate & Property industry located in Richmond, Virginia. The role will involve a variety of important tasks, ranging from resolving software and hardware incidents to maintaining IT equipment. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems and a range of software applications.
• Handle the installation and upgrade of software and hardware, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Implement file backups and configure systems and applications to ensure data safety.
• Perform preventative maintenance for endpoints such as workstations, printers, IP Phones, and peripherals.
• Test solutions to ensure problems have been adequately resolved and follow up on help requests post-resolution.
• Troubleshoot and repair conference room equipment, including phones, projectors, sound systems, cables, and wall plates.
• Use remote support tools to assist users and update software remotely.
• Install and configure new IT equipment pertinent to endpoints such as laptops, printers, and IP phones.
• Communicate technical information to non-technical personnel to facilitate problem-solving.
• Assist business clients with applications, connectivity, training, and problem-solving. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within the Real Estate & Property industry
• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies
• Experience with Citrix Technologies
• Solid understanding and knowledge of Computer Hardware
• Experience working with Databases
• Proficiency in Dell Technologies
• Experience working with Active Directory
• Familiarity with Apple Devices
• Knowledge of Backup Technologies
• Experience with Configuration Management
• Proficiency in VPN Technologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
