Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Richmond, Virginia

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a diligent and meticulous Human Resources Manager in the manufacturing industry, based in Richmond, Virginia. As the Human Resources Manager, you will lead and direct the routine functions of the HR department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. Additionally, you will ensure HR operations are conducted smoothly and efficiently, fostering a positive work environment and maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities are as follows:

Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.

Oversee the entire recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.

Collaborate with department managers to forecast staffing needs and ensure timely fulfillment of vacancies.

Administer employee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with regulations.

Conduct salary surveys and analyze compensation data to maintain equitable pay structures.

Manage employee benefits enrollment and provide assistance with benefit-related inquiries.

Oversee HR administrative functions, including maintaining employee records, processing payroll, and managing HRIS systems.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Prepare and maintain HR-related reports for management review.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Proven experience as an HR manager or similar role, with a deep understanding of HR best practices and regulations.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, with a focus on problem-solving and conflict resolution.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and drive results.

HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus.
