Description We are seeking a dedicated Sr. Procurement Consultant to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This role involves performing procurement functions in a government setting, processing high-value procurement orders, and ensuring compliance with purchasing procedures. This position offers a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Processing high-value procurement orders exceeding $100,000, including Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and grant-related purchases.

• Overseeing the entire procurement process from purchase order creation to matching on receipt.

• Handling smaller procurement orders between $10,000 and $100,000, including quick quotes and compliance review of purchase orders.

• Utilizing procurement software tools for efficient and accurate processing.

• Assisting in the procurement of goods and services for a state agency, adhering to government procurement regulations.

• Applying procurement skills in a team-oriented environment, ensuring strong customer service.

• Utilizing buying processes skills to ensure efficient procurement operations.

• Collaborating with team members to ensure workload is being managed effectively.

• Ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of procurement requests and purchase orders.

• Developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of purchasing procurement processes. Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or related field

• Proficient in buying processes and procurement functions

• Well-versed in government procurement procedures and policies

• Capable of handling procurement requests and purchasing procurement tasks efficiently

• Experienced in dealing with purchase orders and preparing statements of work

• Exceptional knowledge of procurement regulations and industry best practices

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency in eVA
