Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Richmond, Virginia, United States. As a key member of our team, you will be involved in a wide range of accounting tasks. Your responsibilities will range from maintaining accurate records, processing customer applications, to assisting with full cycle accounts payable and receivable.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize systems like QuickBooks and Acumatica to efficiently process customer credit applications.

• Maintain accurate records of customer credit.

• Assist with Full Cycle Accounts Payable work and conduct limited Accounts Receivable work.

• Review financial documents during the onboarding process of new hires.

• Conduct billing and invoicing through an automated accounting system.

• Conduct account and bank reconciliations regularly.

• Prepare Financial Statements for review and approval.

• Follow up on past due accounts and initiate reminders or recommendations for payments.

• Ensure the general ledger and journal entries are updated and accurate. Requirements • Must possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Must have experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Should be skilled in managing General Ledger

• Must be adept at making Journal Entries

• QuickBooks proficiency is required

• Experience with Automated billing systems is a must

• Should be able to Prepare Financial Statements

• Account Reconciliation skills are necessary

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• Prior experience in an accounting role is preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
