Robert Half Supply Chain Clerk in Richmond, Virginia

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity in the Healthcare/NHS industry for a Supply Chain Clerk in Richmond, Virginia. This role involves the management of inventory and supply chain operations within a hospital setting. The successful candidate will be handling warehouse duties in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with inventory counts to maintain accurate records of hospital supplies.

• Oversee the delivery of hospital supplies to different departments, ensuring timely and efficient distribution.

• Handle the placement of orders for medical supplies, contributing to the smooth running of hospital operations.

• Maintain regular contact with vendors to manage supply inventory and resolve any issues that may arise.

• Carry out warehouse duties, including managing inventory levels, unpacking supplies, and moving boxes.

• Deliver supplies across the hospital, adhering to the necessary safety protocols.

• Monitor and track inventory to prevent shortages and excess.

• Participate in supply chain logistics to optimize the flow of supplies within the hospital.

• Work effectively in a warehouse environment, demonstrating an understanding of warehouse duties and operations.

• Contribute to the management of vendor inventory, ensuring supplies are ordered and delivered as needed. Requirements • Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role within the healthcare or NHS sector

• Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices

• Experience in warehouse duties including receiving, storing, and dispatching supplies

• Familiarity with warehouse environment safety standards and protocols

• Proficiency in managing warehouse inventory and maintaining accurate inventory records

• Ability to manage supply inventory and ensure adequate stock levels at all times

• Experience in tracking inventory and generating inventory reports as required

• Proven ability in managing vendor relationships and ensuring timely delivery of supplies

• Understanding of supply chain logistics including transportation, warehousing, and delivery

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proficiency in the use of inventory management software and tools.
