Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Ridgeland, South Carolina
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in the retail industry, based in Ridgeland, South Carolina. The role involves working as a Customer Service Representative, where you will be engaging directly with customers, addressing their inquiries and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
• Engage in direct communication with superintendents and homeowners regarding installations, scheduling, and services
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Use MS Excel, along with other office skills, for job scheduling and project management
• Answer inbound calls and operate a multi-line phone system, ensuring clear and effective communication
• Maintain appropriate documentation of customer interactions and actions taken
• Use your customer service skills to resolve issues and foster strong customer relationships
• Leverage your knowledge of the construction industry when dealing with contractors
• Manage your tasks and communicate effectively using Microsoft Outlook. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer service role within the retail industry
• Proficient in MS Excel and Microsoft Outlook
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries effectively
• Basic office skills including filing, typing, and office equipment operation
• Experience handling inbound calls and operating a multi-line phone system
• Ability to provide appropriate documentation and maintain accurate records
• Experience in job scheduling and project scheduling
• Knowledge of construction is a plus
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proven ability to work as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education or certifications a plus.
