Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Paralegal. The selected candidate will be primarily involved in the review and preparation of legal documents, conducting research, and ensuring the smooth operation of case management. This role is within the legal industry and will require occasional on-site work in countryside Illinois.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough reviews of statements made in relation to defamation cases.

• Prepare and compile court materials for federal litigation cases.

• Organize and maintain accurate records of case files and legal transactions.

• Utilize Case Management Software and CompuLaw to streamline legal procedures.

• Manage calendar events for legal proceedings and deadlines.

• Prepare deposition findings and summaries to support case development.

• Administer claim processes and ensure the adherence to federal laws and regulations.

• Maintain an organized and efficient work environment, demonstrating agility in managing multiple tasks.

• Utilize the Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) for legal research and information gathering.

• Execute billing functions and other administrative tasks as required.

Requirements • Possession of a Paralegal certification or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

• Proficiency in using Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) is essential.

• Demonstrable experience with Case Management Software.

• Familiarity with CompuLaw.

• Proficient in executing billing functions.

• Experience in briefing and calendar management.

• Proven track record in claim administration.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience in handling depositions and deposition summaries.

• Demonstrated organizational agility.

• Familiarity with federal courts, federal law, and federal regulations.

• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.

• Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines.
