Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in RIO RANCHO, New Mexico

Leading daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable will be essential for this role. In this role, it will be critical for you to have the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations. Located in the Rio Rancho, New Mexico area, this Accounting Manager position would be on a permanent basis.
How you will make an impact
Provide regular review and analysis of balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant
Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Play a key role in system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration of NetSuite Financials
Encourage and manage the full accounting team performance so that close deadlines are met
Assemble a variety of technical accounting policies, procedures, and analyses
Possess a working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to develop relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook Requirements - Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
Solid technology and analytical abilities
Month end closings experience highly preferred
Background working with year end closings
Solid understanding of general ledger
General familiarity with Deltek Costpoint
Practical knowledge of Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
Command of bank reconciliations
Demonstrated knowledge of Cash Transaction
Adeptness in Accounts Receivable (AR)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
Customer service oriented communication skills
