Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This role is in the telecom industry and will be based in a dynamic workplace setting. The successful candidate will be engaged in various account payable functions, including processing invoices, updating and reconciling sub-ledgers to the general ledger, and maintaining cash applications.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner

• Maintain precise customer credit records

• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and efficiently

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take suitable action to collect overdue payments

• Execute matching, batching, coding, and entry of invoices

• Enter, post and reconcile batches of transactions

• Investigate and resolve accounts payable or accounts receivable issues with customers or vendors

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Enter Vendor Invoices, Code Invoices, Enter Invoices

• Regularly update and reconcile sub-ledger to the general ledger

• Maintain cash applications, account reconciliations, chargebacks. Requirements • Must possess skills in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to accurately enter vendor invoices is required

• Proficiency in coding invoices is essential

• Experience in entering invoices is necessary

• Must have a thorough understanding of the overall accounts payable process

• Strong organizational and time management skills are essential

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and regulations related to accounts payable

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Must possess strong problem-solving skills

• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is essential.
