The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing financial procedures and tasks, including the preparation and maintenance of financial reports, the completion of ledger accounts and reconciliation, along with ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. The role expects active collaboration with other finance team members to assist with forecasts, budgeting, and detailed financial analysis. They should demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, coupled with excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. We are in search of a Staff Accountant with a focus on credit control to join our team located in RIO RANCHO, New Mexico. The role involves a variety of accounting tasks, ranging from processing customer credit applications to maintaining accurate customer credit records. This opportunity offers a contract employment type, providing a chance to contribute significantly to our team's operations.


• Process customer credit applications with precision and speed

• Maintain and update customer credit records regularly to ensure accuracy

• Monitor customer credit accounts and initiate action for delinquent payments

• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) tasks efficiently

• Perform bank reconciliations and journal entries as part of monthly close process

• Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate information

• Assist in resolving customer credit inquiries effectively and promptly

• Work closely with the team to ensure smooth month-end close processes

• Employ skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close to deliver quality work.

Requirements • Must be proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary

• Should have a thorough understanding of the General Ledger

• Ability to prepare and maintain Journal Entries is required

• Should be capable of handling Month End Close procedures

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, is necessary

• Familiarity with accounting software systems is a plus

• Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy are crucial for this role

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must demonstrate a high level of integrity and respect for confidentiality.
