Description
We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper near Northampton, New York. This role is situated in the construction industry, where you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that require a detailed and organized approach.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Conduct month-end close activities and prepare necessary journal entries
• Maintain the General Ledger and perform regular audits to ensure accuracy
• Utilize Foundation Software and Payroll4Construction Software for efficient workflow
• Ensure adherence to accounting principles and company procedures
• Use Microsoft Excel and other Accounting Software Systems to organize data and generate reports
• Perform annual budget preparation and cash flow analysis
• Leverage tech-savviness to optimize bookkeeping operations and accuracy
• Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions
Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiar with ADP - Financial Services
• Ability to operate a Computerized Accounting System
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Skilled in various Accounting Functions
• Experience with handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Able to manage Annual Budget
• Skilled in Cash Flow Analysis
• Proficiency with Foundation Software
• Experience in the Construction/Contractor industry is preferred
• Full Charge Bookkeeper certification or relevant experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with high levels of confidentiality
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
