Robert Half Accountant in Riverside, California

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accountant role based in Riverside, California. The successful candidate will be joining our team in the distribution industry, bringing their expertise in Excel and account reconciliation to the fore. This role will involve a range of responsibilities, including full cycle month end close, GL account reconciliation, and assistance with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger.

Responsibilities:

• Execute full cycle month end close process

• Conduct comprehensive GL account reconciliation

• Support with preparation for month/year end reporting

• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ensure accurate maintenance of the general ledger

• Perform bank and account reconciliation tasks

• Utilize Excel Formulas effectively in tasks such as Pivot, V-Look-up, etc.

• Maintain a detailed and organized approach towards all tasks

• Handle Journal Entries and Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

• Resolve any accounting discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• A minimum of three years of experience in an accounting role

• Proficiency in generating and maintaining Journal Entries

• Experience in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

• Knowledge and experience in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Excel Formulas

• Experience in Bank Account Reconciliation

• Knowledge and experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge and experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity and experience with General Ledger

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Familiarity with accounting software and platforms

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
