Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Riverside, California
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in the construction/contractor industry, based in Riverside, California. The role involves a range of responsibilities related to accounting and billing for construction projects, as well as ensuring effective cash flow through diligent accounts receivable management.
Responsibilities:
• Process accounts receivable and comprehend the construction billing and collections process
• Assume full responsibility for the accounting and billing of assigned projects
• Collaborate with Project Managers to appropriately set up and maintain projects in the operating system
• Prepare construction and service invoices, verifying their completeness
• Prepare and ensure the receipt and correctness of Lien Waivers and Subcontractor/Supplier Waivers of Lien
• Apply knowledge of the California Mechanic’s Lien Laws
• Invoice clients in accordance with contract terms
• Monitor job costing and billing milestones, following up with superintendents as necessary
• Assist in the follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable invoices to ensure positive cash flow for the company
• Conduct collection calls to customers in a timely and efficient manner
• Assist Controller and AR Manager with special projects as requested
• Maintain complete audit files for project accounting records
• Collaborate with operations to close out projects
• Utilize analytical skills for various tasks
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledge of Billing processes
• Familiarity with Cash Applications
• Capable of handling Cash Collections
• Experience in Commercial Collections
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Oracle software
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
• Knowledge of SAP software
• Experience in Construction Accounting
• Proficiency in Collections
• Familiarity with Billing Collection processes
