Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant based in Riverside, California. The role involves the application of accounting principles to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures in the food distribution industry. Responsibilities: • Perform general accounting duties to support the financial operations of the business • Assist in monthly end processes to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date • Utilize NetSuite to manage and organize financial data • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and presentation • Post and prepare journal entries as part of the company's financial procedures • Participate in special projects as directed by the Controller • Maintain the general ledger to reflect the company's financial transactions • Apply standard cost methods to business operations for financial efficiency • Assist in maintaining accurate customer credit records and processing credit applications. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar

• Must possess skills in General Accounting and General Ledger maintenance

• Should be proficient in Posting and Preparing Journal Entries

• Experience in Cost - Standard is required

• Needs to have hands-on experience with NetSuite

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferable

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary

• Must be detail-oriented and able to work with a high level of accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is important

• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• A solid understanding of financial regulations and legislation is needed

• detail oriented certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.
