Description
Robert Half is looking to fill a Financial Analyst position on a permanent basis in the RIVERSIDE, Iowa area. The Financial Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate, consistent, and timely financial reports along with analysis of such reports, for the company and its subsidiaries. The Financial Analyst is responsible for a variety of reporting and analysis tasks including but not limited to the following:
Essential Functions:
Provide exceptional guest service to all customers.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including consolidations with/for all entities
Maintain, create, update financial reports in accordance with proper accounting or tax guidelines
Oversee and maintain financial reporting formats to ensure consistency across all entities
Work closely with finance departments of all entities to ensure consistent recording of activity
Process/Review daily reports as necessary
Compile/Review actual vs budget, actual vs projected, and other variance analysis
Assist in coordination of annual budget process
Prepare PowerPoint presentations for quarterly Board meetings and other periodic occasions
Aid site finance teams to supplement staffing and ensure timely completion of work.
Participate in ad-hoc projects as directed.
Fulfill other duties as assigned.
Requirements - Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Proficient in ERP systems
Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Detailed and have the ability work independently
Month end closings experience desired
Foundational knowledge in financial reconciliation
Proficiency in financial statements consolidation
Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience
Expertise in financial statement preparation
Proven knowledge of Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Sound written and verbal communication skills
Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
