Robert Half Cost Accountant in Riviera Beach, Florida
Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Cost Accountant in the manufacturing industry. This position can be hybrid after 90 days. As a Cost Accountant, you will be tasked with precise cost calculations, financial reporting, and improving operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare comprehensive cost reports
• Scrutinize cost trends and variances, identifying potential areas for cost reduction and improvement
• Deliver timely and accurate cost information to management for decision-making
• Develop and maintain inventory valuation methods and perform regular inventory reconciliations and adjustments
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production teams to optimize inventory turnover
• Assist in the preparation of manufacturing budgets and forecasts, tracking actual performance against budgeted costs and explaining variances
• Participate in financial planning activities to support business goals
• Recommend and implement cost control measures and process improvements
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects and investments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and reduce costs
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures
• Support internal and external audits related to manufacturing costs and inventory
• Maintain accurate documentation and records for audit purposes
Requirements
• Proven experience in performing various Accounting Functions
• Solid understanding and experience in Cost Accounting
• Proficiency in conducting Cost Analysis
• Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role or field
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field (preferred)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Strong communication and presentation abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of integrity and dependability
• Detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry and analysis
