Robert Half Tax Analyst in Roanoke, Virginia

Description We are looking for a meticulous Tax Analyst to join our team in the engineering industry situated in Roanoke, Virginia. This role requires you to provide data to external service providers and ensure the timely and accurate filing of all foreign direct and indirect taxes. You will also be responsible for calculating and preparing quarterly tax estimates for Federal and State Tax filings.

Responsibilities:

• Provide data to external service providers for accurate and timely filing of foreign direct and indirect taxes, including income tax, GST, and VAT.

• Calculate and prepare quarterly tax estimates for federal and state tax filings.

• Prepare multi-state sales tax and property tax.

• Maintain proficiency in financial modules of ERP systems.

• Demonstrate successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts.

• Utilize accounting software systems effectively to perform tax-related tasks.

• Adhere to compliance norms and regulations related to tax filings.

• Deliver high-quality customer service and resolve customer inquiries.

• Maintain accurate documentation of all tax-related processes and transactions.

• Conduct auditing of tax records and ensure accounting functions are performed correctly. Requirements

• Holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• Possesses at least 3 years of experience as a Tax Analyst or in a similar role within the Engineering industry

• Demonstrates proficiency in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, BlackLine, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax

• Exhibits strong knowledge of Accounting Functions and Auditing

• Has a proven track record in ensuring Compliance with tax laws and regulations

• Offers excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate complex tax information clearly to non-financial stakeholders

• Capable of maintaining accurate and detailed Documentation of tax records and reports

• Shows willingness to stay updated with the latest tax laws and regulations relevant to the Engineering industry

• Demonstrates ability to work independently and as part of a team
