Robert Half International Business Systems Analyst in Rochelle Park, New Jersey
Under general direction, participates in the design and coordinates testing, implementation, and evaluation of automated and manual financial billing and accounting systems; and performs additional related data analysis and cleansing duties as required. Key responsibilities include creating, updating, and maintaining customer pricing and rating information within both automated and manual billing systems. Plan, organize, and prioritize work; Must be able to work well as part of a team; Establish and maintain working relationships and interact with staff with limited computer knowledge; Balance competing priorities; Gain cooperation and consensus through discussion and persuasion; Influence others to work together toward common goals.
Ability and desire to quickly learn new systems and software are a must. Work is both generally independent and yet collaborative in nature. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, computer science, or a related field is required for this position.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel as well as PowerPoint, Word and Outlook is required for this position. Must have good interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong Unix-like Operating Systems experience and MS Windows background are a must; Various computer programming skills (Perl, Shell scripting, Python, C++, Java/JS, PHP, Ruby, any additional web services experience is a plus) as well as any prior relational database (MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) experience would be beneficial. Any previous experience with large accounting or enterprise resource planning (ERP) or CRM (e.g. Salesforce) systems would also be a strong plus.
Daily tasks include but are not limited to:
• Work closely with billing team to translate new requirements into enhancements to financial systems/processes as is required.
• Document standard processes and common problems.
• Make enhancements to current processes to make them more efficient.
• Troubleshoot problems, resolve system issues, and improve overall data quality and system use.
• Source and accurately populate missing information into various systems.
• Work with users to minimize disruptions and encourage full use of the system.
• Generate various billing reports upon request.
• Create subscriptions in ORBCOMM Charging System based on customers contracts.
