Description

As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department's day-to-day operations. You will work closely with our accounting team to ensure accurate financial record-keeping and assist in various accounting tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who is passionate about finance and eager to learn.

Responsibilities:

Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.

Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy.

Prepare and maintain financial reports, spreadsheets, and records.

Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end financial statements.

Support the finance team in conducting audits and financial analysis.

Help maintain organized and up-to-date financial files and documentation.

Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role is desirable, but recent graduates with relevant internships or coursework will also be considered.

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (experience with QuickBooks is a plus).

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
