Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Rochester, New York
Description We are looking to bring on board an Accounts Receivable Clerk in our Paper/Packaging industry located in ROCHESTER, New York. The role entails dealing with accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and cash applications. This role will be a short-term contract position offering an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the processing of customer credit applications ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records
• Address and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts
• Monitor customer accounts and execute appropriate action when required
• Handle account reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy in records
• Manage billing processes, ensuring invoices are issued and paid in a timely manner
• Oversee cash applications and cash collections, ensuring all cash received is correctly applied
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP in day-to-day operations
• Conduct commercial collections activities, ensuring all outstanding debts are collected
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards. Requirements • Proven experience in account reconciliation
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with billing procedures
• Familiarity with cash applications and cash collections
• Experience in commercial collections
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Oracle software
• Knowledge of QuickBooks software
• Experience with SAP software
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic understanding of the Paper/Packaging industry is a plus
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload
• Must possess a high level of professionalism and integrity.
