Robert Half Administrative Assistant in Rochester, New York

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in the non-profit industry. The role is based in Rochester, New York, and involves providing administrative support services to an executive, professional group, or organizational department. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be a key player in report generation, supply ordering, meeting coordination, and correspondence production.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the lead support in the generation of reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Order supplies as needed, keeping track of inventory and budget

• Coordinate meetings, managing schedules, and ensuring all necessary materials are prepared

• Produce correspondence, drafting letters, emails, and other communications

• Work on special projects as assigned, contributing to team efforts

• Use Microsoft Office tools to perform tasks efficiently and accurately

• Prioritize tasks as needed, adapting to changing priorities

• Work independently, taking initiative and making decisions as necessary

• Maintain a detail-oriented approach to all tasks, ensuring high quality of work

• Collaborate with team members, contributing to a positive and productive work environment. Requirements • Candidate must possess a degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

• Proven experience in administrative assistance or related role is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently is a must.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.

• Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles is preferred.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.

• Experience with non-profit organizations will be considered an asset.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is required.

• Experience with data entry, record keeping, and computer operation is preferred.

• Possession of strong problem-solving skills is necessary.

• Ability to interact comfortably and professionally with all levels of staff and management is required.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems is essential.
