Description
Hannah Savage with Robert Half is seeking self-driven and organized accounting professionals for an opportunity if they're comfortable working under tight deadlines with minimal supervision. This Bookkeeper opportunity will be located in the Rochester, New York area and will be a permanent position. In this role, the Bookkeeper will maintain accounts payable, reconciliation, month-end closing, and accounts receivable. On top of this, the Bookkeeper will manage a general ledger reconciliation or light journal entries, full cycle A/P coding, cash applications, and perform data entry. Major responsibilities:
Keep Accounts Payable up to date
Produce monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
Assist with monthly accounting close
Arrange sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
Other special projects as requested
Oversee Accounts Receivable
Competent in credit card management and reconciliation
Formulate cash flow projections, as needed
Set up subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
General ledger
Handle monthly accounting close

Requirements
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
High attention to detail
Top notch analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
Solid understanding of bookkeeping
Reconciliations experience highly desired
Payroll experience
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Excellent computer skills
Strong communication skills
- 3+ years of related bookkeeping experience- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
