Description We are looking for a versatile, flexible team player to assist the purchasing staff with both day to day operations and special projects. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
Computer skills- experience with Microsoft office including Outlook and Excel. Additionally the ability to learn new software is important.
Organizational skills- we operate in a fast paced, hybrid work environment (remote 3 days a week). The ability to work independently, be highly organized, and have the ability to prioritize often competing priorities is important to the success of a team member.
A dedicated office type environment is an asset (home office or ability to have an area to work without distraction).
Customer Service background/experience- depending upon the situation the employee may be interfacing with end users to resolve questions or issues regarding purchase requisitions. Good communication skills and phone/etiquette are an asset.
Supply Chain knowledge- while not a priority a basic understanding of supply chain and the role that purchasing has in it certainly is an asset but not necessarily a critical hiring criteria. Requirements Purchasing Activities, Customer Service
