Robert Half Credit Specialist (Tier II) in Rochester, New York
Description We are seeking a meticulous Credit Specialist (Tier II) for a long-term contract employment opportunity in Rochester, New York. This role is critical in the credit risk management industry and will involve comprehensive client service and technical product support to our internal and external partners. You will be required to review and approve or deny credit authorizations, payments, or termination decisions, and conduct credit reviews on new clients. As a part of your role, you'll be responsible for the mitigation of potential risks and ensuring the best financial decisions are implemented for the client.
Responsibilities:
• Processing and reviewing incoming clients utilizing payroll services.
• Providing advanced client service and technical product support to both internal and external partners.
• Identifying and researching potentially fraudulent clients, escalating all positive matches to a supervisor and the fraud investigations group.
• Conducting daily reviews of incoming clients to determine potential matches to previous clients that have been terminated for non-payment of payroll or invoice amounts.
• Reviewing, interpreting, and assisting in decision making processes using credit reports, financial trade, and public record data.
• Removing clients from the services when required, while mitigating risks and ensuring accurate problem resolution.
• Participating in product-related projects or training sessions to ensure area of responsibility is represented.
• Developing and maintaining knowledge of all product offerings, regulatory changes, policy changes, and industry developments.
• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions input into the product systems.
• Diffusing difficult client concerns and notifying management of critical situations to ensure the best solution is implemented for the client. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Customer Service and Client Relations
• Familiarity with Policy, Payroll, Invoice, and Payment Processing procedures
• Ability to perform Ad Hoc Financial duties and Credit Risk Management
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suites
• Strong Research and Research Analysis skills
• Experience in handling Authorizations, Terminations, and Mitigation
• Ability to manage Financial Transactions and Problem Resolution
• Experience in conducting Training Sessions and managing Financial Management systems
• Knowledge of Bonus Program administration and Fraud Investigation
• Ability to interpret and analyze Credit Reports
• Experience in dealing with External Partners
• Strong Time Management skills
• Familiarity with Paychex Payroll systems
