Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Fundraising Officer to join our team in Rochester, New York, 14607, United States. The role involves researching potential donors, strategizing and executing fundraising campaigns, along with coordinating fundraising events.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct research on individuals, corporations, and foundations interested in gift giving
• Communicate the organization’s mission, vision, and programs effectively to potential donors
• Write and submit grant applications and fundraising proposals
• Develop strategies and execute fundraising campaigns successfully
• Organize and manage fundraising events, including overseeing teams of volunteers
• Manage a budget and track if goals are being met
• Use CRM for maintaining and managing donor information
• Plan and implement fundraising campaigns effectively
• Coordinate events related to fundraising initiatives
• Utilize skills in Fundraising and Event Coordination for successful campaigns and events. Requirements • Must possess expertise in the use of CRM software.
• Demonstrated experience in campaign planning is needed.
• Prior experience in a fundraising role is required.
• Experience in event coordination is essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed fundraising goals.
• Experience working within a team and independently.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Knowledge of fundraising regulations and procedures.
• Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends for events.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of non-profit organizations and their operations is beneficial.
• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to solve problems creatively.
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining donor relationships.
• Ability to travel as needed for fundraising events and donor meetings.
