Description

Olivia Quinlan with Robert Half is hiring for a confidential IT Manager in the Rochester area.

Job Summary:

The role entails managing Business IT Applications and operational support services while maintaining confidentiality. Project responsibilities involve supporting long-term business strategic initiatives and short-term tactical requirements. The individual collaborates with various business functions to define requirements, develop system configurations, and oversee the implementation of application systems within specified parameters. Additionally, this role leads validation methodologies to ensure application regulatory compliance and provides ongoing operational support, including lifecycle maintenance and end-user assistance.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Project manages IT solutions delivery in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

  • Oversees application validation testing and change control activities.

  • Facilitates training for business application key users and administrators.

  • Manages integration of applications and data repositories.

  • Handles application refresh/upgrade lifecycle activities.

  • Develops and maintains application standard operating procedures and system configuration documents.

  • Utilizes data proactively to prevent incidents affecting application systems.

  • Administers application security and implements necessary patches.

  • Analyzes existing business applications for continuous improvement.

  • Stays updated on industry best practices and recommends enhancements.

  • Streamlines application and data configurations where beneficial.

  • Ensures applications meet business and user requirements.

  • Identifies future workforce requirements and strategies for talent development.

  • Develops organizational structures supporting staff retention and career growth.

  • Aligns employee priorities with organizational goals and fosters communication.

  • Promotes a culture of change and innovation within the organization.

  • Assesses and resolves incidents/problems affecting application functionality.

  • Escalates issues as necessary and tracks resolution progress.

  • Leads the review and formulation of new IT systems and methods.

  • Advocates for the adoption of technology to improve organizational performance.

    Requirements

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience in manufacturing/packaging production environment (GMP environment desired but not required).

  • Demonstrated project management experience.

Specific Skills:

  • Experience managing complex IT projects across various business disciplines.

  • Knowledge of ERP systems and relevant applications such as JDEdwards.

  • Proficiency in Oracle/SQL Query scripting and XML Scripting.

  • Ability to create visual reports using tools like Power BI.

  • Experience in industrial manufacturing, packaging, and distribution automation.

  • Additional skills in Essbase, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) are a plus
