Your responsibilities
Sustaining efficiency in the management of patient medical records
Greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures
Highly-responsive to telephone calls in a detail-oriented and effective manner within minimum rings
Helping patients with paperwork
Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner
Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations
Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage
Managing various files and providing general office duties, e.g. data entry, scanning, faxing, etc. Requirements - 1 or more years of experience handling multi-line phone systems
1+ year of experience as a Medical Receptionist
Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds
High School Diploma required, A.S. Degree in healthcare/related field preferred
Experience with multi-line phone systems preferred
- For this position you will need experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record system, as well as social media platforms
Knowledgeable of medical terminology and insurance products and plans
Electronic medical records experience required
Basic Medical Terminology experience desired
