Description Robert Half is seeking a candidate with a thorough understanding of finance and strong communication skills for a Financial Analyst role. Join the expanding team at an exciting Construction/Contractor company. Daily functions include conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. The Financial Analyst role is a permanent employment opportunity in the Rock Hill, South Carolina. Have a thorough understanding of internal and external drivers and be able to explain how they are impacting performance and trending
Work with the Accounting team on monthly and quarterly financial close processes
Compose and oversee forecasting reports
Work closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
The ideal candidate should be a highly flexible individual who is adept at managing expectations and comfortable with handling large amounts of information
Recognize potential risks and opportunities while analyzing performance to date
Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required
Ensure business partners handle their resources by tracking monthly and quarterly performance through the comparison of actuals versus expectations
Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, strategic resource allocation and prioritization, and event tracking and execution
Provide valuable foresight and decision support through effective Business Intelligence (BI)
Endorse weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings as well as P& L forecasting Requirements - Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
Skill with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
Background in financial analysis and planning
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Skills in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly desired (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions
Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system
Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Deep understanding of Microsoft Excel
Analysis experience desired
Process Improvement experience required
