Our client, a niche, family-owned manufacturing company with over 100 years of history, is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team. This temporary-to-hire opportunity is opening due to an upcoming retirement, and the new hire will have the chance to work alongside the outgoing employee for a smooth transition.
About the Role:
In this role, you will support a variety of essential accounting functions. As part of a small business with a dedicated team, this position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to day-to-day operations. Here's a look at what you'll handle:
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable: Process daily A/R invoices with volumes varying seasonally.
Accounts Payable: Enter invoices weekly, manage inventory entries, and run a weekly check batch.
Payroll: Oversee weekly payroll for approximately 30 employees, including hourly and salaried team members. Manage benefit deductions and assist with annual bonuses and incentives.
Inventory Management: Perform an annual count and maintain inventory for specific product lines.
Excel-Based Reporting: Use Excel to manage data imports for state filings, quarterly reports, and other operational reports and compliance needs.
Onboarding/Offboarding Support: Assist with HR functions related to new hire onboarding and employee departures.

Requirements
Prior experience in A/R, A/P, payroll, and general accounting.
Proficiency with Excel for data import, reporting, and managing state filings.
Comfort with legacy accounting software.
High level of accuracy, integrity, and ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
