Robert Half Senior Manager, SEC Reporting in rockville, Maryland

Senior Manager SEC Reporting (100% remote opportunity)

To $170,000 plus bonus

My client is $bn global manufacturing group with over 3,000 employee and 50 locations. They are looking to hire a new Senior Manager, SEC Reporting covering the follow main duties:

  • Maintain accounting policies to reflect or improve process and ensure compliance with GAAP

  • Responsible for implementation of new leasing standard under ASC 842.

  • Lead the technical accounting function except for revenue and taxes.

  • Own the Company’s financial reporting process, including external quarterly and annual reporting SEC filings (Form 10-Q, 10-K), earnings release reporting (Form 8-K, supplemental slides, and script review), other SEC filings (e.g., Form 8-K, Proxy), quarterly audit committee and board reporting materials.

  • In-house expert and owner of the Company’s XBRL reporting process.

  • Prepare month- and quarter-end close activities for specific accounting areas

  • Assist the Controller with mergers and acquisitions, including financial due diligence, divestitures as needed

  • Maintain adequate controls to ensure the accuracy and completeness of internal and external reports,

  • Lead the group on disclosure implications and readiness on new standards on revenue and leases.

Requirements

To be considered for this high-profile opportunity, you should ideally possess an active CPA, minimum 8 years

relevant financial reporting experience with a mixture of both industry and public accounting experience, detailed knowledge of US GAAP, SEC Reporting regulations and XBRL
