The ideal candidate for this position can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. In this role, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. This is a job where someone with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets can thrive.

Your responsibilities

• Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation

• In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

• Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives

• Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision

• Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting

• Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation

• Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

• Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable

• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation

• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

• Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

The ideal candidate will be an auditor coming out of public accounting with 1+ years of financial statement audits for corporations, a BS in Accounting and strong attention to detail. Requirements - Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Solid understanding of financial auditing

• 1+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• Proficient in ERP systems

• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

• Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
