Robert Half Logistics Clerk in Rogers, Arkansas

Description We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Clerk for our transport industry team located in Rogers, Arkansas, United States. This role is centered around providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth logistics operations. You will be tasked with updating load statuses, establishing effective relationships with carriers, shippers, and receivers, and setting up new locations.

Responsibilities:

• Consistently maintain professional communication with carriers, shippers, and receivers

• Monitor and update the status of load-tenders, including pick-up, transit, delivery, and empty statuses

• Act promptly and efficiently to relay service failures and other difficult situations to relevant parties

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with carriers, shippers, and receivers through professional and timely communications and inquiry responses

• Set up new locations (Shippers/Receivers), including assigning vendor codes and determining shipping dates and hours of operations

• Reschedule pick-up/delivery appointments when necessary

• Ensure the on-time pick-up, transit, and delivery of shipments

• Display exceptional customer service skills, building solid customer relationships

• Handle 1-2 years of customer service experience effectively.

This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Please note that the role requires customer service skills. Requirements • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.

• Prior experience in a logistics role within the transport industry is desirable.

• Proficient in using logistics software and other related technologies.

• Demonstrated skills in customer service.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.

• Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards.

• Ability to handle physical work, including lifting heavy items when necessary.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.

• Willingness to work in varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.

• Valid driver's license may be required depending on the specific duties of the role.
