Robert Half SR. Financial Reporting Manager in Rogers, Arkansas

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Financial Reporting Manager in the retail industry, based in Rogers, Arkansas, United States. The primary function of this role is to manage and oversee financial reporting activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file quarterly and annual filings under Security and Exchange Commission regulations.

• Assist in meeting all other Security and Exchange Commission reporting requirements.

• Assist in drafting all earnings release materials like conference call scripts, press releases, and investor presentations.

• Research accounting and reporting matters to maintain and ensure GAAP compliance.

• Oversee all external audits on sales taxes, income taxes, and 401(k) plan.

• Handle sales tax reporting, research, and maintenance for dealerships.

• Manage income tax reporting, research, and tax returns.

• Review and monitor internal controls.

• Monitor sales contracts for proper add-ons and sales taxes.

• Follow company policies and procedures and support company mission, vision, values, and standards of ethics.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the retail industry.

• Proven expertise in SEC Financial Reporting is necessary.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of US GAAP is required.

• Previous experience in External Audit is desired.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. An MBA or equivalent is preferred.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to manage and guide a team effectively.

• Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial colleagues.

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

• Strong business partnering and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.

• Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office.

• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
