Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Ronkonkoma, New York

Description We are offering an engaging role in the construction industry, based in Ronkonkoma, New York. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts, from receivables and payables to certified payroll and AIA billing, as a Full Charge Bookkeeper.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounts receivables and payables, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

• Perform account reconciliations regularly to maintain accurate financial records.

• Prepare journal entries to record company transactions and events.

• Process certified payroll, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.

• Carry out AIA billing, ensuring all invoices are accurate and sent out in a timely manner.

• Leverage your understanding of the construction industry to manage accounts efficiently.

• Handle general contractor duties as required, contributing to the smooth running of the company.

• Utilize Timberline software for various accounting tasks.

• Leverage skills in Accounts Receivable (AR) to manage customer accounts effectively.

• Draw on at least two years of experience working in a similar role. Requirements • Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Full Charge Bookkeeper role or similar.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation is a crucial requirement for this role.

• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.

• The candidate should have excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills are required.

• The applicant must have a good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

• The candidate should have a strong ethical framework and understanding of confidentiality related to financial information.

• The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is key.

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
