Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Data Governance Analyst in Rosemont, Illinois. This role involves understanding data from a business perspective and managing metadata effectively. It requires less focus on analysis and interpretation, and more on comprehending business needs and aligning with them accordingly.

Responsibilities:

• Define critical data elements, document data lineage, ownership, and data quality.

• Help in setting up connections with new data sets in Collibra platform.

• Guide business teams through the process of metadata collection.

• Enable departments to understand data definitions and enhance their data literacy.

• Conduct manual validation of data to ensure it complies with organizational standards and policies.

• Maintain and manage metadata using Collibra and other similar tools like Axiom and Informatica.

• Work closely with various stakeholders including technical and business teams.

• Leverage skills in Atlassian Jira, BusinessObjects Technologies, Database, EO/IR systems, Erwin Data, AB Testing, Agile Scrum, Business Intelligence (BI), Business Requirement Document, and Create Dashboards. Requirements • Proficiency in Atlassian Jira is required.

• Experience with BusinessObjects Technologies is essential.

• Must have a strong knowledge of Database systems.

• Experience with EO/IR systems is preferred.

• Familiarity with Erwin Data is necessary.

• Must have a background in AB Testing.

• Experience in Agile Scrum methodology is required.

• Business Intelligence (BI) skills are essential.

• Must be able to create Business Requirement Documents.

• Ability to Create Dashboards is a must.

• Must have strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work in a team and independently when required.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Must have a keen attention to detail.

• Strong project management skills are preferred.
