Job Description:
This company is seeking a Staff Accountant that will apply the established accounting principles to properly record, analyze and report on the company’s financial records. The Staff Accountant will properly apply the company’s standard operating procedures as well as adhere to the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to assist in the preparation of its internal and external financial reporting, and the control of assets.
Specific responsibilities include:
Report to Controller
Review cash daily
Bank and custody account reconciliations
Prepare Capital Calls and Capital Distributions
Prepare Capital Account Statements and ILPA Statements
Review Amex and out-of-pocket expenses
Process wires and ACHs
Review invoices
Maintain FATCA compliance
Technical review portfolio company valuations and quarterly reports
Ad-hoc reporting
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelors in Accounting
2-3 years experience at an audit firm
CPA or has the credits to sit for the exam
General Ledger experience: QuickBooks
Software experience: Expert knowledge of Excel and familiarity with VBA
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Detail oriented nature with desire to learn
