Description

Lisa Cole with Robert Half is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team of a growing company for a direct hire position. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with maintaining financial records, assisting with journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Responsibilities:

• Reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts on a regular basis.

• Preparation of journal entries for both recurring and non-recurring transactions.

• Assistance in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

• Maintenance of accurate and updated documentation of work performed.

• Providing assistance to outside auditors; gathering necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.

• Applying knowledge to propose process improvements to the financial reporting cycle.

• Researching accounting treatment for transactions as needed.

• Undertaking other related duties or special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

• 2+ years' experience as a staff accountant.

• Strong experience with Excel
