Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Sacramento, California

Description

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Sacramento, California. This role requires the processing of customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect overdue payments.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer credit applications in an accurate and efficient manner

• Maintain accurate customer credit records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and reliable

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner, providing clear and concise information

• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly, identifying any irregularities or issues

• Take appropriate action to collect overdue payments, adhering to company policies and procedures

• Collaborate with the accounts team to ensure all credit applications are processed correctly

• Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze customer credit data

• Conduct account reconciliations as required, identifying and resolving any discrepancies

• Support billing and cash application tasks as necessary

• Participate in commercial collections activities, adhering to best practices and company guidelines.

Requirements • Must have proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Familiarity with Billing operations is necessary

• Must have hands-on experience with Cash Applications

• Experience with Cash Collections is essential

• Must have knowledge of Commercial Collections

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must

• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required

• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of standard accounting practices and procedures is required

• Must have the ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Should have strong problem-solving abilities

• Must be able to multitask efficiently and effectively

• A strong work ethic and high level of integrity are required.
