The leadership position is responsible for an accounting and clerical department. The Controller plans and directs all accounting operational functions, handles the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluates accounting and internal control systems, and leads departmental staff. The full-time Controller position is situated in the Davis, California area. Key responsibilities - Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings collections, and payroll - Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor on a monthly basis - Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation - Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals - Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies - Analyze deliverables of self and team to confirm they meet client expectations - Manage the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is on time - Respond on items beyond formal job responsibilities - Support Finance Department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, through research, planning and implementation, as needed - Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports - Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations G/L analysis For confidential consideration, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call Shantel Poole at 916-649-0832 to discuss the opportunity further.
